A lot of people got laid off at the end of 2008 and in the early part of 2009. A lot of the people who were affected couldn't find work and ended up in the unemployment lines. Some people made the decision to instead get new training from a local truck driving school. Our focus here is to help those that attended a truck driving school find a great truck driving job.



The schools are like so many other things that we learn during our lives. They give you, hopefully a great foundation to make you a great driver. There really is a lot to learn about JD Truck Training Centre and where to go and what the best route might be at any certain time of the year.

I also want to stress that against what you might believe, trucking companies work very hard at hiring as many students as they can get. You would think that a company would want all the experience behind the wheel that they can get. Well, this is simply not true. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure why, but I have theories. And yap, you guessed it - I never have an unspoken thought - so I'll share them.

When the issue of money is resolved, it's time to decide if the desired school's location will be a good fit for your current situation (i.e. single or married with a family). Are you going to commute daily? If so, how far? Gas can get very costly! Or, are you going to move to attend your choice of Truck driving school? If so, where are you going to reside and at what cost? Some truck driving schools do offer dorms similar to a college campus; but it will obviously raise the cost of attending the institution.

Because really, why should the state care if you can do a blindside parallel park? It's not like you're going to be using this maneuver to jockey into a parking space on the public roadways.

Upon discharge from active duty he Truck licence was assigned to Fort Hamilton as I had been. Living in Brooklyn it was logical that he would spend his six years of active army reserve at this fort. In any case, CDL training in the yard might consist of spending hour upon hour practicing highly specific maneuvers on a course with cones and lines. Or it might be spent learning how to shift and turn and control your speed. It could even be something in between. It's all a matter which state you're in.
